Angels We Have Heard On High

Like all of you, I am heartbroken over the events in Newtown, CT...a town less than an hour from where I live. My youngest son is only 8. This hits just too close to home.

How did this happen? Why did this happen? How do the families go on? I don't have any answers.

All I know for sure is that heaven has a new cherub choir. And, I imagine them singing...

Angels We Have Heard on High
Sweetly Singing Ore the Plains
And the Mountains in Reply
Echoing Their Joyous Strains
Gloria en Excelsis Deo
Gloria en Excelsis Deo

Elizabeth I have no answers to your questions as I too don't understand the turn of events. But I like your thoughts of the angels and the choir and hope they're in a good place.

Elizabeth,
My faith gives me hope that we can restore peace and innocence lost in this world. It is the last thing I pray for before I go to sleep and the first thing I pray for in the morning.
We all need to proceed onward for a future full of hope and never forget those that need our prayers, our love, our attention.
I can only think of that now.

Hi Elizabeth....as we all go through the holiday festivities and prepping for the big day, I know its with heavy hearts as there is no one that this has not affected by this sadness. It is so heartbreaking and seeing the service last night made it all the more real.

All we can do now is pray for the famlies left grieving and hope God will light this dark path they are on. I hope those innocent lives were not lost in vain and may some meaning come out of this horrific tragedy.

We spent the weekend stunned and shocked and saddened by the events in Newtown - a small town just an hour away. The families and the entire community are in our prayers this week.

Lovely, elizabeth, truly lovely. I still cannot wrap my mind around it, and find myself crying quite a bit. Those sweet babies, and their poor friends who had to bear witness to this. Heartbreaking.

We are just as appalled here in the UK. Can't imagine what it must be like to live so closely. Sending prayers xx

Deepest sadness. The thoughts of these angels singing this song is uplifting.

Elizabeth, I thought
of you right away
when this happened,
but I knew that you
live on L.I. and not
in CT. Still, so close
to home, in more
ways than one : (

I think we are all
holding our little
angels a bit tighter,
this season. Yours
son is 8, mine is 14,
but they will always
and forever be our
babies....
