Divine Dallas Design: Cynthia Collins

Mention my hometown of Dallas, TX....and I'm all ears. Or, in this case....all eyes.

D magazine recently featured the stunning home of Dallas interior designer and Blueprint shop owner, Cynthia Collins. Her home is in one of my favorite areas of Dallas and like Cynthia, I'm the lone woman in a household of men/boys. Also, like Cynthia, I think it's ok to have a little feminine flair in a home where you're outnumbered.

Cynthia and her husband, Bruce, bought the house and left it as it was for 4 years. Then, they took it down to the studs. What follows is not only pretty, but practical.
You can read the entire article here to learn more about Cynthia, her home and her sources. They are all listed!!

Any element above that you especially love? I have several, including the porcelain butterflies installed above her kitchen hood. Please, do tell!

Hi Elizabeth...so pretty! Love how fresh and crisp it feels....a very happy home with touches of pink here and there, I like that she added her own feminine touches and can so relate to being in a house of men!!
Trying to figure out whats on the range hood and continuing onto the ceiling? It almost looks like a flock of birds!! Lovely job she has done.
Enjoy your day!

This is an easy and yet elegant style - very nice. Twice this week I've seen room's with blue grass cloth as they have in the bath, I think it just went on my wish list.

Nothing makes me happier than a home that feels fresh and inviting! I can't wait to read more about her! I had forgotten that I posted the picture from Dallas in my blog the other day! I think it's a subliminal message to me because I've always wanted to visit Dallas and that particular area as I've had many friends move to Birmingham from there! They always talk about how lovely it is! Thanks for sharing this! Have a wonderful day!

Oh, I will read the article! I love her style, the gorgeous colors and the feminine sensibility she incorporates. It's been years sine I've been to Dallas, but I think that a visit to Blueprint would be worth the trip! Happy Wednesday, Elizabeth! XO

I'm so happy to have seen this! LOVE her style. And what a gorgeous area of town that is. My sister's in UP and I'm right across the tollway in GWP. I bet you know exactly where that is!
