Made in the Shade

Sometimes, a little change is all you need.

My youngest son has outgrown teddy bears and embraced Ugly Dolls. So, I thought it was about time we traded in the shades that went with this nursery decor and found something that matched his current bedding and would be appropriate as he grows older.

KravetSmart to the rescue. This geometric blue and white print plays well with the oversized houndstooth pillows and the Stark greek-key rug. Similar but not the same.
Now, the Ugly Dolls have it made in the shade! Do you get a lift when you make a small change?

Love the shade Elizabeth, so pretty yet masculine and mature. Lucky Ugly dolls to have such a pretty resting place:)

It's a wonderful room Elizabeth and I love the soft blue. I've never seen an ugly doll before but they're fun.

Enjoy your day!

I like it a lot. It is very pulled together without being at all fussy or matchy-matchy. And that rug! Terrific!

Looks great - lovely update. Clearly you have a different variety of boy than I do - a white bedspread would never have worked in our house!! Lucky you!

I really have to get on the band wagon with monograms... even the dolls are a step ahead of me! This looks like a great place to just crawl up and take a long winter's nap! Gorgeous.

Hi Elle (in Westchester!),

I had the shades custom made with the help of Michele Green at The Open House in Rye. If you like the fabric, click on the link in the article that says KravetSmart and it will take you to the tear sheet for the material.

Hope that helps!!
