Happy Monday, darling readers!

In an effort to enjoy an "end of summer" get away with my family, I am going to unplug for the week. I'll miss connecting with everyone, but know that I will return recharged and ready to talk "back to school", Labor Day fun, fall fashions and renovations!

Kelly Wearstler - Fashion

Was it really 6 years ago, that Kelly Wearstler redesigned the Bergdorf Goodman lunchtime eatery, BG, into something spectacular? 

For anyone who lived or visited NYC prior to this transformation, the former eatery was located on the 5th floor and rather bland. No view. No windows. But, oh.....the tuna salad sandwich was out of this world. (My office was located 2 doors down on 57th St, so I could be found in that location numerous times a week....when I wasn't salivating over shoes).

Fast forward....not only has Kelly given us all a slice of NYC heaven in the form of the bodacious BG restaurant and a funky little home accessories boutique on the 7th floor, but she has launched her ready-to-wear line, exclusively for Bergdorf Goodman. Seems she understands the mantra..."dance with the one who brought you".

Who wants to meet for lunch at BG? We might even spy Bergdorf's latest style star!

Stir Up Your Next Soiree

Break out the bubbly...it's time to celebrate! 


Newly launched, Society Social, is out to sass up your soirees with their line of customizable bar carts (colors and styles are endless!), haute hostess wear (pink, please!) and furniture (folding chairs never looked so fun!).

Hello, Yellow!

Yesterday it rained. All. Day. Long.


So, I really needed to brighten things up and went in search of something sunny! Love this darling renovated bungalow in Raleigh, NC that I came across via Country Living. It's pure sunshine!


Designer and resident, Ann Nicholson, was downsizing and wanted to make the transition fun and happy. I can relate. This is how I felt when I moved from North Carolina to New York...and I am about to do some renovating myself.


So, here's to looking at things "sunny side up".

Friday Flowers - Land of Oz

One of the highlights of our trips to Kansas (yes, the land of oz), is visiting the garden center that is owned by my mother-in-law and her husband.

They grow all of their own plant material, so the quality of the plants, flowers and trees is the best available. And, I always wish I could sneak some of the statuary into my suitcase. 

If you ever find yourself in Manhattan, KS....stop by Horticultural Services and tell them I sent you!

And, since it's Friday...let's kick up those ruby slippers and have some fun!!!

Should We All Be in Gold?

Have you been watching the stock market bump up, down and all around this week? I'm thinking we should all just go to gold!


Ok...maybe that's not realistic. But, it sure is pretty!
