Last week, I had the pleasure of attending an event at Hoagland's, one of my all time favorite Greenwich stores. In business since the 1930s, this is the spot where brides register and keepsake gifts for new babies are bought.
The evening, sponsored by Connecticutt Cottages and Gardens, highlighted 2 distinct names in design. Herend and Diane James. My focus, this evening, though was on the flowers and the elegant women behind the flowers.
Diane began creating her couture floral creations over a decade ago. Now, with her beautiful twin daughter, Carolyn and Cynthia, running the "business side" of things, Diane is able to focus on creating designs and meeting her customers.
Carolyn, Diane & Cynthia
So, for anyone who has ever thought Faux is strictly a no-no, you need to know Diane James. Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf's do --- and that's where you can find them, in addition to Hoagland's, of course!
